VLAD,
I appreciate the update. I was kind of hoping they would have more to say than that. What is this end of the month garbage. i thought we were supposed to have it by the 1st of June. Am I wrong?
We haven't hired the PR firm yet? I know they want the best one, but lets not be late to the dance. Gee, I'm glad they expect sales to turn around. That is a load off! I wonder what Wilson has to say. Has he had his teeth fixed yet? Did you get her in the office, or did she return your call? I got a couple of questions I need answered.

In the event somebody is able to reach her before me, could you please find out how much product they are producing and shipping. If it is all they can produce, find out why we are expecting a loss? I would very much appreciate that. I will post if I am fortunate enough to have my call answered.

Colby

P.S. Nina, if you are reading this, please take my call. If not, take it anyway!

A few important points,

We are holding a stock that went from above 15 to 7 5/8 only based on Viagra fear.

Now we droped from the 10's to 6 1/8 based on false and misguided press.

Men who fail on Viagra evidently will take some time to admit that they were not only impotent but also a FAILURE on Viagra. New patients need to be informed about the MUSE alternative. This is why the new sales force will help. Even if the PCPs do not want to mess with local treatments, they at least will inform the new patient about the alternatives.

From what I gather Viagra is effective in about 50% of mild to moderate ED cases (I do not include severe cases). You see, in Pfizer's study it was not determine if a man with let's say diabetes was impotent from psychogenic OR vascular causes. If it was psychogenic, the study assumes that an organic case was cured when it really was psychogenic. Many men with health problems are automatically assumed to be organic and this is quite often not the case. Also, as pointed out bt Edderd, many of Viagra's psychogenic successes will probably eventually fail. Since MUSE is an erection producer and not an erection enhancer, Vivus should pick up a lot of Viagra psychogenics who initially succeed but eventually fail. They will not be likely to fail on MUSE since it produces an erection no matter what is going on in the patients head. Viagra will not work on a psychogenic ED patient who does not think it will help ie he has to believe he can perform because of the Viagra. Remember, if he believed he could perform and took a placebo, he will succeed.

Today, CNBC did not even mention the latest Viagra death in Boston.
Eventually more deaths will occur and more PCPs will refuse Viagra to any patient with cardiovascular problems because even if Viagra is not the cause of a given patients death, the doctor may be found liable. As Tuna said, the lawyer will claim that the doctor should have avoided Viagra altogether. Also, seems like MDs were initially just writing scripts without even an exam or with only a brief exam. If those patients die and on autopsy cardiovascular disease is found, that doctor will be held liable for not properly screening the patient. Doctors who will now properly screen patients will spend much more time with the patient and can advise on the alternatives (MUSE, injections) if Viagra fails.

After the first month of Viagra, too many investors think that the MUSE script numbers are so bad that Vivus will only be left with a few crumbs. IMO, this will not be the case.
