Perpetual pessimist that I am, I note the following intriguing
quote:

"There will be major functionality differences between beta one and beta two and people can put it in their test environments," Price said.


Those of you who are programmers will immediately see the problem here. For those of you who aren't programmers, I'll spell it out:

A new Beta shouldn't add functionality, much less "major" functionality.

You can't call this "The Second Beta." Rather it's more like "The New First Beta."

Consequences of this: A guarantee of at least one more Beta before delivery. Perhaps even two more given the complexity of the software.
