Evening, A History Lession for the 'Newbies'! 'ICVI' ain't the 1st RM! I'm not out to change 'American History'....but... this is a rumor i heard.... The 'real' reason 'ole Sam Adams'(Harvard grad) and the boys dumped those 342 boxes of tea into the harbor was... They were already engaged in a enterprise to sell tea on the 'black market'...and the British (MM's) were... trying to muscle in on their territory...by... selling tea at a 'lower price' even with the tax!!!! So in order to protect their 'Market Area' the guys 'dumped the tea', creating a 'shortage'... used the tax as an excuse....and then... tried to blame the poor indians!!!! Their strategy worked!!....the rest is 'history' Imo, the 'Boston Tea Party' was the 1st..... 'reverse merger' ever recorded...it worked!! and went on to give us... The 1st Ammendment...IRS....etc... Sam Adams was a 'visionary' he knew that.. the peoples love of tea would not last...so... in later years he started a.... 'Brewery'...and his buddy 'Paul Revere'... bought some land in Kentucky and started.... a horse farm. pvt jat($ingle $paced-out)

to Macker: Altho I could not voice my support until today(as I was not a member of SI), I and my son were believers in your statements. We have followed the Rocketeer's instructions as you all are men of Faith and dignity. I'm betting there are many, many others out there that don't belong to SI, but are behind you 100%! Macker you have earned our trust many times over! We're here to act as a group in a situation that will be a win/win for all involved!

This is my first post on this thread but I have to agree with SOLON its the integrity in his words that count.No one in this game can predict for sure every little detail of what a company will do but I got to tell you with I guy like macker on our side at least we have a fighting chance.I don't know about you guys but I know I couldn't have dug up half the things he has in the DD department.Some people do alot of lip service on these threads but he has proven he knows what he talks about.By words that come true.Not only do we have a fighting chance but we can win if we stick together. you touched on a good point, sometimes you have to go with intuition and speculation and even good old fashioned hunches. there is so much more dd and info i could put out there on threads, but i realize the need to be responsible with what we put out there. i probably dont even put out 50% of what i have. i never had any clue that when i signed up on si 6 weeks ago that this would all evolve this way. anyway, no i in team lets go folks! macker ps. i will make a PREDICITON FOR ALL ON ONE OF OUR FAVORITE STOCKS HERE IN ABOUT 30 MINUTES, ill put it on one thread only we will see how long it takes the threadsters to find it, kind of like a scavenger hunt.

You know, sometimes you just can't win. "Where's macker, where's Macker?" everyone screams. "We need news, when's the merger, etc." everyone screams. Macker says "I think news could be next week." "Yay, all right, good old macker, he's got the goods" everyone screams. Macker says "The news might not be out next week" "Down with Macker!" SOME people scream. If you've bet the rent money, the food money, get out of this right now. $1/2 Billion mergers, - if that's what's coming - believe it or not, do not always conform to OUR schedules. bbruin
