From the Intel Roadmap at Tom's hardware guide:

Camino is the code name of the chipset that will be particularly targeted for the Katmai CPU on the beginning of next year. It will support 4x AGP, Direct Rambus DRAM (direct RDRAM), ATA66 and integrates AC'97 digital link.

I would take this to mean that the chipset will probably be moved up to meet the timeline of the processor release. Thus, I would believe that RDRAM would be targeted as well for release to be used with Katmai, even if some options use it on a BX motherboard.
