Paul, perhaps this also explains why AMD has had so much trouble shipping K6's in volume. Their fabs are also cranking out high volumes of those 100mhz socket7 chipsets Jerry promised us. You know, the ones IBM and Compaq are using with their 100mhz FSB systems. Jerry wouldn't lie to us would he? (profits are just around the corner).

Hey - don't be so conservative - give the guy a chance to get it right.

You overlooked tons of i960 etc., embedded controllers. Let's not forget that the i960 is the worlds highest volume RISC processor.

Then there is graphics processors - mobile docking station chipsets, camera imaging, NIC chips, and more, but I'll let all this go for now...
