My MOT story thankfully was ended about 2 years ago. I had talked my father into buying MOT instead of Microsoft. Naturally, he remembered that and not the good buys I suggested later. Anyway, I tried to talk him into taking the loss on MOT and buying INTC around $50 presplit.

I have another update on the Dell best deal PC. About a month ago on either this thread or PC Round Table, I remarked how Dell had a 400 Mhz PII that was amazing for $2499.

Now, the price has fallen to $2299 and it comes with a 11.5 gig Ultra ATA. Seems like the previous system came with a 6.4 gig, or maybe 8. That's a pretty cool change in about 6 weeks.

Laptops are sporting 4 gig drives for $2699, but they haven't got the faster memory and the processors are a pitiful 233Mhz.

Regards,

Mark
