Several possibilities:

Cambrian Systems. Private. Plans to come public some time in the next 2 years. A NN affiliate with DWDM for the metro link.

JDS Fitel --- Canadian, DWDM, and fiber optic instruments and testing equipment

Pirelli --- Italian maker of fiber optic products. Also tires.

Corning --- U.S. maker of fiber optic cables and other glass products

Think Cisco needs a new partner now that they've been jilted for TLAB?
