It looks like Intel is controlling its competitions, and yet the Street is not favoring its stock. Perhaps, the Street weighs more on the ridiculous FTC harassment.

This Monday shall be eventful. Guess what the Intel stock would shoot up to if FTC decides to back off. On the other hand, if FTC decides to pursue legal actions, has the recent stock price taken that into account already? I hope so.

Paul,

<< Just last week, privately held Packard Bell NEC launched a fully featured PC priced just below $700 without a monitor, designed around a processor from Intel rival National Semiconductor's Cyrix unit. >>

Didn't Intel seriously bail out troubled Packard Bell a couple years ago? I realize it is a greedy feeling, but wouldn't ya hope for some sort of thank you every now and then? Maybe not...

On a different note, the increased frequency of Intel updates on their CPU's clearly demands a thick hand at the wheel of the machine. We are in a new machine, and I'm glad the excellent brass of management at Intel finally has to get off the sofa to break a sweat. This is when things HAPPEN!

all imho
