Has anyone read about IBM's plans to launch tomorrow new marketing and development efforts aimed at capturing a larger share of the personal computer market. There's an article on this at biz.yahoo.com. They specifically mention Dell, among others. Any thoughts on how this will impact Dell?

I expect DELL to rise up to 92 then drop back down to 82 - 84 range before the correction is all over.

Islander,
Hi!!! Dell closing up strong at the close of business has always impressed me...I have my own opinion as to why this occurs quite frequently..I like to believe that the MM's (no matter what we really think about all their manipulative methods) will throw their daily leftover buy money at Dell near the end of the day if the market still appears to be strong...their honest beliefs (if there are any) are that Dell is THE ultimate long term buy...Just my opinion...
As to today...I would love to see this move up again...who wouldn't that owns it?...But, we must all admit the recent rumor garbage (that should be treated as a criminal act) is killing this stock for no reason...Michael, Mort and Tom announcing this week is just gives me the greatest confidence in this management...they have always said the shareholders come first...I love people that keep their word...investors aren't supposed to love anything other than their profits...but, I love this company...they have never left me down!

Best, Kemble
