Mr. Cards. They will get more than 100 resumes a week, We are a small operation and we get over a hundred resumes a day. We have software that posts out requirements on around 100 news groups every couple of days, We are registered with all the big job nets.

We are very good at what we do. I can scan resumes at a rate of about 1-2 minutes each. From a resume I can then determine if the person is a potential candidate and I make a note and put them in a stack. Next they go to the appropriate recruiter who begins the calling process. What are our first questions: What rate do they want, Would they relocate or travel, etc.. It's called qualifying.

Then we tech. them (technical qualifications).

We have a person whose job it is to scan or convert the resume and put them into our database. We have over 4,000 fairly current resumes in that database. It needs to be turned once a year. We can run queries on that database to find matches.

Also a lot of our people are repeats.

This is a tough business and like any business where the profit is so great there are Steps A, B, and C that must be followed. It's a formula, it works....

Oh yeah, last thought. We have other friends in this business that are filthy rich. How did they get that way? ONE GOOD CUSTOMER...

One good customer can turn your business into a cash machine. The dollars that will role in allow you to market and recruit more aggressively and all of a sudden the other big vendors start wanting your people. You build up a stable crew and you are off to the big time. BTW, one of our friends started a outsourcing and recruiting firm and sold it to Perot Systems for 36 million just 4 years after opening his doors.
