shane--

WOW. let me go through step by step...

AMD+INTC-- it does translate to a gain for AMD since any gain in the market for them is positive. the problems they had with profitablity should be gone since manufacturing issues have been resolved. to be honest, INTC is not going to go broke, they may miss estimates, but they wont report negative earnings unless they start writing off plants.

NSM is going to be the real loser here. one thing though, about the PC 'GLUT'...it has existed for a couple of months, and it happens every once in a while. when the analysts start talking about it, we are near (or at) the end. but thats just the high end. low end machines are really moving. the problem is that INTC designed celeron badly. people who know anything about computers are buying the K6 equipped low end machines. HWP cant even move those dumb pentium MMX boxes.

VLSI-- i am betting on the twenties going into july. people like semis for some reason, especially ones that do ok when the rest of the industry is choking.

agree on the wireless tech, but not on DIVX. i think this is going to be a monster winner. no need to return the videos? OUTSTANDING. never underestimate the american desire for convenience. for my money, the DIVX people need to forget about blockbuster and go to the supermarkets. i hate going to the grocery store to return movies, but renting them there is really easy.

but you are right, only time will tell. just have to be patient. MOT will probably hit us tomorrow. but, these little knee jerk reactions can be very profitable.

good luck to all,
trey
