That idiot Creamer at it again. We got out of Gateway (NYSE:GTW - news) that things had mildly improved. We heard from other personal computer companies that the long-awaited inventory correction -- meaning too many PCs in the channel -- seems to be in full swing and that inventories can be worked down to manageable levels by the fall. Compaq warned about 2 1/2 months ago. That is the first time they even admitted to inventory pile-up. Right, 2.5 months is tooooooo long to wait!
