Can anybody else confirm those insider buys? Mr. Wang has a slight credibility problem (see the StorMedia thread for examples of his "inside information").

Rob, you said
"Hopefully there will be some signs of life for this company. Why does Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley still like them. I don;t think anyone else does. Do they know something or just trying to get rid of what they are stuck with??"

you have a point about Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley's objectivity, i would rather see an analyst raise their rating rather than maintain an old one

however now that insiders are buying there is definitely some signs of life for this company.

signs of prosperity to look for:

short term:
2.8 and 3.4GB qualifications at WDC, Maxtor, Samsung and.......

long term:
1. an indication that there will be WDC designed drives at the GMR level or that the final agreement with IBM drops the requirement to use IBM heads
2. GMR qualification in 1998 at Seagate, Maxtor and.........
