(Nasdaq: ORCTF) announced today that it was selected, together with a partner, by a major European telecom operator to supply High bit rate Digital Subscriber Line products. Orckit will supply its CopperTrunk(TM) HDSL equipment for broad deployment beginning in late 1998. Under the terms of the framework agreement, the customer will purchase minimum quantities equal to approximately $20 million over a period of two years.
