Just got through watching the interview of MACROCHEM CEO on CNBC. Performed very well in my opinion. Took the blows from PFE inspired questions very elegantly. CNBC also confirmed that Mr. Leland will be on their show on Monday June 8 at 9:10 am ET. Let us hope that he comes out swinging.

Best of luck

<<A approach that truely serves the needs of the patients and not the greed of the money making machines at the expense of deaths and emotional distress of the people needing help.>>

What about the emotional distress of the Vivus shareholder?

I already know of a few more of us that have incured substantial loses due to margin calls.

A good electronic trader friend of mine who has many years experience as a trader for large brokerages says that they call this tactic of pushing the price down "holding the little guys head under water until he has to take a breath". The breath must be taken once the maintenance call is triggered. The little guy either comes up with more cash or has to give his shares away for a substantial loss. Of course after this, the price goes back up.

But as we all know, VLAD is just a paranoid whiner who makes all this stuff up when things don't go his way.

PS Those of you who have lost a lot of money need to get yourselves a good securities attorney--I certainly would. Also, I would look for some blood from the Genesis jerk who came out with the downgrade. This guy is a rat who could have seen the results of these obscure bs studies long before the meeting by simply reading the abstacts. I would certainly look at Genesis short interest change from when Vivus was above 10 until it tanked.

Good luck all and have a restful relaxing weekend--we all need it.
