Gary: Try just thestate.com. The lead article is titled "S.C. scholarships survive" with a little blurb about the article. After the blurb is a link titled "Read On". Click on that link and you should get the article. Wonder why the link doesn't work?

Gary: That last bit "...you have to work with the Democrat-controlled Senate for at least two more years" SHOULD put some peoples minds to rest about Beasley's video poker threats. If the composition of the Senate is not going to change for another two years, Beasley can squawk all he wants about video poker but he isn't going to be able to get another 7 votes out of the Senate until and unless some of the players in the Senate change.

I stated from the beginning of this political mess late last year that Beasley's rhetoric is, in my opinion, nothing more than gubernatorial re-election posturing. I think that has been proven to be the case. It bothers me not at all if he continues yapping about it.

On another subject, I sure wish I was in Austin today for the annual meeting. I think we are going to hear some very good things.
