BAMBI Update

Last week was really interesting! It was absolutely amazing to watch these stocks bounce off their trendlines. It gave me a lot of confidence in my TA and in the market.

BAMBI ended the week 19 to 11 bearish. We are at the lowest level of pure bullish stocks since I started maintaining this scorecard (only 5). Two more gave weekly bearish signals -- HWP and UTX. On the other hand, 6 in the bearish camp appear to be turning. The natural cycle continues.

Again, the cycle is bullish signal, bullish trend, trend changing, bearish signal, bearish trend, trend changing. My "gut" feel is that the best opportunities are as the bearish trend is changing, the bullish signal is given, and the earlier stages of the bullish trend.
DUH! Frankly, this is where I enjoy watching Jury and Steve, as they consistently seem to get this right!

P.S. Jury, that was a great call on MRK.

I would be concerned if the stocks did not hold there trendline. This clearly has not been the case. I think that they are holding as well as can be expected.

A sad story -- my brokerage did not get my check until late Friday afternoon so I didn't get to play Friday. It was a terrible disappointment as I had worked hard to make the investment decisions. Further, it would have been really nice to have participated in the DIS run. Oh well, next time I'll use a wire transfer.

As noted, I recorded the prices of the DJIA stocks on 4/24 and the leaps (previously posted) and have been able to see how the option prices have behaved with the change in the stock price. It's been a tough month and a half for Leaping.

I came up with a little ratio (I love algebra) of the current price as compared to the projected target buy price and target sell price. Based on this little game, I like the following calls AA, UK, BA, IP, JPM and HWP (Based on the weekly picture UK and HWP are probably a bit premature). I don't yet have the confidence in my put strategy as I'm not sure that I got some of the trendlines, support, etc. right. So the put positions will be minor in comparison to the calls, but will probably encompass MCD, KO and GM.

I'll post the actually acquisitions after I get them.

Enjoy! BWDIK and all other disclaimers!
