We've had Motorola on our "round two" short list for three months. After last night, it's now moved to our 'hit it now" grouping. The delight of the situation is that in spite of serious problems in every one of their manufacturing sectors (as we've noted in earlier posts), and in spite of almost boring use of "one-time-only" restructuring charges (each larger than the last), the analysts give it their "auto-blessing" (based on the restructuring). In September, Irridium becomes operational. At that time, it will become obvious that this "bet-the-farm" situation doesn't have enough customers to pay the electrical bill, never mind the massive interest payments. Question: How many restructurings will it take until there is nothing left to restructure?

Best, Earlie
