To All: I haven't been posting very much lately but I'm still here with my shares and very long on FTEL. Here are some of my recent thoughts for why.

It seems to me that it was over a year ago that RB posted a message that discussed the importance of Value Added Features (VAF) as a significant factor in determining the future success of any company entering the IP Telephony market. Recently, Pulver has been echoing the same message and I have read a couple articles that have mentioned the same thing (didn't bookmark them). With the recent addition of the Billing Authorization Server to the Tempest's VAF and its "Best of Show" reception at the Baltimore CTI Expo, again we see Franklin's commitment to VAF, not to mention the features that are already part of the Tempest, such as phone to phone ease of use, high quality voice, fax on demand, remotely manageable and competitive pricing. Even Tom Russell's most recent CFO message emphasizes the continued commitment to developing VAF:

"The feedback from customer evaluations so far has been positive. Many customers will be able to purchase the DVG systems as they exist, i.e. enterprise systems whereby companies can use the DVG for voice calls between their offices worldwide. However, other customers would like us to implement many of the features we have on our engineering task list before they will purchase. The engineering tasks required to complete our full feature set will be completed over the next few months. Some of the features will be available in a couple of weeks, others will take a few months. In any case, the features should translate into sales."

Also, Frank Peters quote from the last press release is very noteworthy relative to Franklin's ability to produce a competitive product:

Frank Peters, president and CEO of Franklin, said, ''Two hundred of the world's most technologically advanced companies, including Lucent, AT&T, Natural Microsystems and Ericsson, participated in the CTI Expo. To be judged among these companies and come away with a best of show award makes us feel enormously proud. This is the third time in the last eight months that the Tempest system has won a best of show award.''

Considering the size and value of the CTI market which is expected to develop in the next four years, I would say that Franklin's Tempest is a product to be reckoned with, not to mention that Fnet provides the perfect showcase for the VAF that are added to the Tempest along the way.

I think all of the above, just for a start, is a very good reason to be long on FTEL, especially at these prices. IMO Bill
