News Today! PR Newswire, Monday, June 15, 1998 at 06:25 AUSTIN, Texas, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SI Diamond Technology, Inc. (BB: SIDT) reported today that Electronic Billboard Technology, Inc. (EBT), its wholly-owned subsidiary, has announced under its royalty agreement with Texas Digital Systems (TDS) an order for 500 units of the AccuView(TM) electronic display to be installed at certain stores of a major fast food restaurant chain. TDS is also beginning to receive orders for the chain's franchisees. The AccuView(TM) sun-readable display was developed by TDS and EBT using EBT's technology. Under the licensing agreement between the two companies, EBT receives royalties for each display ordered through TDS. "We expect to achieve the minimum requirement under the royalty agreement with EBT of 1,000 units of the Accuview(TM) by the end of 1998," said a TDS spokesperson. "By meeting the minimum requirements under the royalty agreement, TDS will be able to retain the exclusive use of EBT's technology in the fast food market." "Obviously, we are very excited to be a part of TDS' successful introduction of the AccuView(TM) display into the fast food market. We expect to see significant revenue growth from this venture as TDS continues to expand in this market," said Marc Eller, chairman and chief executive officer of SI Diamond.
