I think it was closer to 13 1/2, Paul, but either way it was a bad move as the stock subsequently tanked to 7+. I hope their "investment" this time proves to be more successful.

Your numbers imply a share price of 14 for Novell.

It would take a share price of $14 for Novell to use up half a billion dollars buying back 35,658,600 shares. Using today's price of $11 or so, your figures are off by about $100,000,000. Or do you mean to imply that Novell will soon be trading at 14 and above?

Please don't call me names if you disagree with what I've said.

I hate to call you on this but you are such a jerk

Frankly I don't think that insulting people
makes you look better or gives you more credibility.
Just MHO.

For example,

35*11=385,
Error= 500-385= 115,

In other words you were off by 115/385=.298%.

Now the argument you gave computing using 1996 prices is, you should admit, not a very sound one. It is 1998 stupid!

As usual I wish you well. I understand that you play cycles
with NOVL. I hope you were not short right now..it would
be a pity that all your knowledge is not useful to make
money..

Regards
