To all sharehoders,

Do yourself a big favor and phone Vivus and e-mail Vivus THIS AFTERNOON before 4pm Pacific Time. Give them a few constructive suggestions on what Wilson can discuss that will get the small fish back on this boat.

For example, it would be constructive for Wilson to mention something about Vivus's involvement in the development in new drugs including
the oral pill mentioned by the CFO 3 days ago.

Vivus needs to let us know about research and development efforts to give us an idea of where the company might be in 2 years.
They spent about $4,000,000 in Q1'98 on R&D. I doubt that much of that was spent on the new MUSE since most of that product has already been developed in MUSEI except for the addition of a generic vasodialator.

Vivus needs to mention who their researchers are and what they are currently trying to develop. I don't care about what the paid ED so called experts (really whores) have to say. I want to hear about pure research and possible joint efforts with the likes of Astra or J&J.

Did anyone hear about the potential Astra/Merk deal? Evidently Astra wants to buy out its interests in the US and dissolve the partnership. Astra is willing to spend billions to do this. It makes me think that Astra (who is looking for aquisitions) would eventually be willing to buy out a company for a lot more than the last 6 months price range,
