Interesting. Suppose we have 2 more betas after this one. I will guess that the feedback/debugging/testing cycle would take from 3 months to 8 months per beta. I would welcome other people's opinions on this. The three months guess is the lowest minimum, the 8 months is the time it took between this new beta and the last one. With a total of 3 more betas, the time range is then somewhere between 9 months and 24 months. That would have NT 5 shipping somewhere between spring of 99 and summer of 2000.

Any other guesses?

BTW, I have no position in Microsoft, but I do have positions in other companies which are affected by the delivery of NT.
