I also found it interesting. The Microsoft description seems to indicate that about 100 computers, each with 4 Pentiums and 512 MBytes of RAM, are used to store and disseminate about 20 Gigabytes of content. In other words, the entire content base could be stored in RAM in duplicate, given the quantity of hardware in use. I wonder how well that strategy would scale to a bigger content base.
