<<<So is this of concern to holders of ANCR?>>>

The answer is no. McData's business plan is quite clear to me at this point. They focus on markets that are within their current core business strategy. They are using their expertise wisely. They are not going head to head with Brocade and Ancor. They concentrate on FC/ESCON bridge, FC Director. These two products pick up what FC switch/hub does not address(or a little cocky here, or care to address). There will be companies which will be happy with McData's products. Few years down the road, everything will be FC interfaces only. A simple server to storage connection via FC director is all some small company need, no need for some mind boggling planning of heavy duty meshing of servers/storage/tapes/etc. Come to think of it, this FC director is not that cheap. A FC switch can do a much better job plus all the added features.
