America Online (AOL) shares roseÿ 2 1/4 to 83 1/4. Several web sites and bulletin boards speculated that the online network could be added to the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. The company's June call options with a strike price of 90 were among the most active call contracts on the Pacific Stock Exchange's options floor.

I am not a big believer of this stock. However, this is the second time I have encountered the foregoing rumor. Like it or not, if this speculation turns out to be true, the stock shoots up the chart as individual investors start piling on.

IMO, it's time once again to change strategy, to stay ahead as the stock moves higher.
