I saw a 7.2GB Maxtor ultra IDE at Best Buys advertised this
weekend for $179 (after $30 rebate). Swap that and pay for
shipping.

I'd want to look into the 120 mb floppy (?125 vs 25?).

Personally, I'd double the RAM. BTW, the NT monitor shows
my virtual memory usage peaked at 120MB. That's typical
for me.

You omitted monitor on purpose, right? If this replaces
an existing system, makes sense unless you need a new one.
FINALLY those are coming down too. Is the monitor included
in your $2500 Presario price? If so, not a valid comparison.
Software too. So for comparative purposes (as opposed to
an upgrade price), perhaps not quite as unbalanced as
998/2500 would suggest. Still a lot better deal, though.
