How about if you post a list here of the things NSCP has designed from the ground up. Perhaps the main thing that NSCP designed from the ground up is not a single product, but a set of technologies, centering around making your workspace being the World Wide Web and the Internet, rather than being limited to the desktop. This includes the client WebTop, known as Aurora, in addition to webifying servers. Most of our server products were first in the category of being webified. Our directory server is the first to be integrated with routing hardware (Bay Networks). We introduced concepts such as the notion of location-independent login, ESPs, and convergence of total solutions for build/buy/outsourcing solutions. Not bad for a company that is only four years old. Compare that to what MSFT had accomplished in four years and you'll see the difference.
