WT:

Depends what century you were a christian. Remember, it used to be all the rage to condemn individuals who made new scientific, provable discoveries that flew in the face of biblical "truths". It was also quite acceptable to burn old women at the stake as "witches", and to pour melted lead onto the feet of those who denied christ during the Inquisition.

Tom, I have never heard of Corrie Ten Poon. However, I have always said that there were many, many individual Christians who took very big risks to help individual Jews in Europe escape the Nazis. I have been discussing organized anti-Semitism in Catholic and Protestant church teachings, not the good deeds of individuals. The fact that the Pope has just apologized for institutional anti-Semitism in Europe which allowed the Holocaust to happen, partially because of passages in the New Testament, backs up my contentions, not yours. It is indeed wonderful that some individuals did whatever they could to save lives. At the same time, Jews had been so villified over many centuries by the Christians that in that climate, many Christians did not object, and indeed participated in the slaughter, or helped by supporting the Nazis behind the scenes.
