WASHINGTON -- (Reuters) The United States is drawing up
plans to keep Russia and others from being spooked into millennium
bug-related "nightmare" military scenarios, a top Pentagon official
said on Thursday.
In a stark warning about the Year 2000 computer glitch threat,
Deputy Defense Secretary John Hamre cited a need to calm Russian
nuclear forces in particular if the "bug" caused their computers to
crash, as many systems may fail worldwide.
He told the Senate Armed Services Committee that cash-strapped
Russian forces were relying more and more on nuclear weapons "as
a safeguard for their national security."

I guess I would qualify as one of those people who have been here longer than most. The frustration with first TPRO, and now TAVA is that we've been and still are way ahead of the curve. I still believe patience will reward us all. One of these days people on Wall Street will make the distinction between software and embedded chips. One of these days, the media will realize what's at stake and the size of the problem. One of these days, the street will realize that TAVA has a future after Y2K. I, like most of you, had hoped, one of these days would be behind us by now. I remain convinced it will happen. "ONE OF THESE DAYS!"
