That is true, but I do find it depends on the specific trade and whether it's a fast market or not at the time. I have had transactions at the bid and ask go off almost instantly in some cases, but in other instances a n inordinate delay may occur. And sometimes the delay is in receipt of the confirmation rather than the execution itself.
