Sheila,

Are you sure Intermec bought Norand? I thought it was Western Atlas because I had Norand at the time but when buy out occurred I was out of country so i did not get into details. I asked my broker to offer my shares to the buyer as it was a cash buyout. Am I mistaken here?

Back to TLXN, looks like they have decided to go solo. SBL has withdrawn their offer. Does anyone know what TLXN said fair price was? TLXN management must be well prepared with a road map during the next conf call because everyone will be questioning their stand on the issue.

Regards,

JK

CLEVELAND, June 11 (Reuters) - Symbol Technologies Inc said Thursday it was still interested in a negotiated acquisition of Telxon Corp and that it welcomes moves made by a Telxon shareholder to change Telxon's by-laws.

"We are encouraged that Telxon shareholders are taking independent action and we remain very interested in a negotiated acquisition subject to due dilligence," a spokesman for Symbol said in response to a question about a shareholder proposal to change the by-laws.
