Re: Reflections on the Rumors

We have had an unusual plethora of negative DELL rumors as well as negative spins on DELL's excellent performance last quarter despite the dismal performance by its competition. Why?

The rumors seem to be coincident with with the shorts closing out their short position. The negative spins started to gain after the Greenspan cautions on the Asian situation and its affects on the US economy in May.

Negative rumors in this climate should be viewed as potential buying opportunities. Those who bought on negative rumor have done well. A lot of these rumors seemed to have been designed to bring the stock lower until disproved.

I do not know whether I should thank the people who made up these negative rumors or join the lynching party and hang them.

Zeem, did you call Dell's Investor Relations in order to get some information on the BA/IBM rumor?

If you didn't, I'll call if someone can give me the phone number.
