Thean..Re:MU
Another factor that could influence MU share price in the near future is the TI negotiations and likely selling of its memory chip operations to Micron. In a short article this morning in the SJ Mercury, it stated that the ongoing talks would result in a sale that could be ultimately beneficial to both companies. TI would gain by selling a losing part of its business; and the deal would "allow MU to buy much needed market share to challenge foreign chip competitors".
Sounds to me more like a good deal for Texas Inst....

On the personal investment front, I got a case of the "itchy fingers" yesterday...and bought ESV @ 24 1/2. Probably not a good move short term, but am contemplating putting a limit/sell in at 25 1/2 and turning off the computer for a few weeks, to avoid undue anxiety over the possible implications of betting on this recent dark horse. Any thoughts on how low ESV could go? Seems like 22-24 has been a good base, and most of the bad news and earnings revisions are already public knowledge....
I did make some good profits last week trading the drillers, which could be used to offset selling ESV for a loss next week in the event of a downturn. Thoughts??
