Looks like merger mania is heating up. On Friday rumors circulated that DD and ADM were merging in response to the AHP/MTC merger. In addition MRK is in talks with Astra to disolve their JV which will give MRK $10-$15 Billion for R&D and Biotech Alliances and it will allow Astra to seek a partner of similar size. German Pharmas rose on the news. I have linked a few of the stories to the Merger Table at home.att.net
