TA,
I am NOT anti-PFE and anti-Viagra.

I think that ED has been terribly under-diagnosed and under-treated in the past.

I think that Viagra may be over-prescribed now and in the future. I certainly do not think that my health insurance $s or the governments' on any level should go toward enhancing erections and sexual pleasure in men or women who do not have true medical conditions requiring treatment.

All drugs have side effects. Some are recognized early and others show up later. The nitrates issue is obvious and docs and patients need to heed these warnings. Maybe ophthalmologic research will be able to define another group that is at greater risk for eye problems and they could be so warned. There are risks in this old world of ours. Many seem very content in taking those risks for the sexual pleasure that they derive through the treatment of their ED.

I own VIVUS and hope/expect that it will establish itself alone with MUSE 2 as the preferred and maybe only non-injection alternative to Viagra in the near future. I think that researchers such as those at AUA who report drug failure and for one reason or another making false public statements about their methods and results should be held accountable in some way (public apology, pay for letters sent to every MD in the country or whatever).

That said, Viagra is here to stay and is going to be a tremendous product for PFE and investors who buy and buy and buy and sit back and wait, which is my personal style of investing.

Jim

Sell Viagra over-the-counter to solve Medicare, Medicaid, HMO reimbursement. It will be in the future.

Hi all: Here's one way to evaluate if someone needs Viagra.....

Give them an xxx-rated movie or magazine and see if it rises. Simple and quick.

:-) just thought we need some humor once in while.

Have a good weekend all.
