Hi TI2,

Let me preface by saying, it's clear LP makes very good excimer lasers. However, these CLEO awards are affiliated with Photonics Spectra, the magazine, and Laurin publishing. I've got the last year's worth of the magazine and Coherent is the number one advertiser in this publication by far. The CLEO awards are presented by the publisher. Interestingly, although Cymer must be one of the largest laser companies(number two? - just a guess) in the world, I've seen about a paragraph's worth of print on Cymer in the last year. On the other hand, they've interviewed Dr. Basting and mention LP almost every other issue. I'm sure LP makes great lasers, but I think the amount of advertising Coherent/LP does with the magazine might influence the content of it and perhaps even their technical awards.

I agree that ASML is LP's best bet at capturing share from Cymer in the microlithograhpy market.

Looking to buy more CYMI, if we drift lower.

Bob
