You can "disable" them or "warn before accepting a cookie", I have been to sites where they say the page will not display correctly unless you accept a cookie (which is total BS).

I have been to some sites where I have been warned by my browser 100 times if you want to accept a cookie just to load the page. I use Netscape 4.05.

To get rid of the cookies just go to your dos prompt at the default directory where cookies.txt is and use the dos editor and delete them manually. The file tells you that you should not alter it but that has never made a difference to me. So, edit cookies.txt, delete the little buggers, save, exit and resume. You will have to manually log on to sites that have remembered your password the first time you go back into Netscape (eg. Quicken.com). I don't understand, why all the controversy? Why do we need to have web pages to tell us to edit and delete. Has microsoft detached that many people from their own OS? Geez!
