Jim, thanks for your response Your suggested explanation certainly is logical though difficult to test through simulations for obvious reasons. The interesting thing is that the system works well for some stocks rather than others -- for example if memory serves me right, it worked well on INTC but not on MSFT. Also, would you see any reason why Kevin's pivot formula for the SPX should not work for stocks?? I don't know if it does or not -- just curious why it would not -- if it does not.
