Frank:

There are a couple of things working against the small telecommunication equipment companies. For one thing small cap
stocks in general have performed horribly particularly technology
related companies. Secondly, it seems that companies like csco and
lucent are moving rapidly into this area which raises the question
how companies like NMSS, DLGC, VOCLF etc. will compete. And, third,
as you mentioned, there are so many new entrants.

Still, the frustration and pain is palpable and the rubber band seems
stretched. NMSS down from 50 to 19 still enjoys analyst support.
Unlike you I am not technically knowledgeable about the business but
I do look at charts and a very high percentage of the time a stock
will bounce off long term support the very first time down. Such
bounces can be quite strong.
