BIOS Upgrades

There are two types of upgrades; a new bios flash and a physical replacement. Older mobos did not have flash BIOS chips and therefore required physical replacement.

You need to ascertain if you have a flashable BIOS, if not then a replacement is your only answer. Either case you will need some mobo info. Mr. BIOS has long been a performance replacement for original equipment. They have a web site.

You may find a new mobo purchase makes $ sense, even if its a 486.
