The latest Kiplingers Issue (June) also profiles David Dreman and says his favorite pick is MO. The article says that MO is cheaper than the market as a whole and trades less than 13 times estimated 1998 earnings of $3.20 a share versus a PE ratio of the S&P 500 of 23. The article goes on to say that MO growth rate is about 16% and the stock yield is 4% which is 3 times that of the S&P 500.

The close of the article quotes Dreman as saying that "future growth will come from food units and foreign tobacco operations. Also, the food and beer plus overseas sales of tobacco account for 72% of profits" How about them apples?

GO MO!!!!!!
