If S3 was to enter the CPU market, it would need the likes of AMD OR National Semi to help them produce and market such a chip.

As for the Expotential Patents. It is very hard to believe that if a competitor could use them to do some damage, Intel or anybody else would have provented the patents getting out of their hands.

But, I've been wrong before...

As for the Foundry in Taiwan...

From what I've been hearing and reading, it looks pretty ugly. This quarter should be real tough. Hopefully, Savage3d will put us in the black for Q4.

Does anyone think Savage can actually help us out for Q3????

They'd be fools to try to compete in the microprocessor arena.
I'd bet the question came in the middle of a string of questions
concerning what they were planning to do with the patents...
