Ok, I will tell you what I know now and find out the rest of the info you asked for in the next couple of days.

sales tax is 5%, used to be 3% but it went up last April (15 months ago ) and was credited with killing the recovery.

I pay 10% income tax on my income, low by Canadian standards, but you have to add to that city taxes, health care insurance premiums, pension premiums (if you pay any, although in the case of health care, it is pretty much a necessity) and the fact that prices are usually quite a bit higher for goods and services. Food prices are generally twice as much for example.

As for a non-official income tax table, give me a couple of days and I will find out.
