Maybe yes, maybe no.

But look at it this way - if ANYBODY can make margins in the sub $500 range, it would be Intel.

AMD and Cyrix LOST MONEY while selling their stuff into the sub $1000 PC arena, so to believe they can now magically make money when the PC prices (and presumably the component prices) drop in half is truly laughable.
