I am typing up an email message now for
Eric Gaer, CEO. I suggest that he
read my posts here, and if he wants, he can
contact me. I live in central California.
The antenna I have in mine is not large, and
would be quite small. It can be made out
of aluminum wire, 1/8" dia. From the specs
they show, the frequency used is in the UHF band.
The antenna would be hard to see, because
it is very small. The driven element would be
about 12" long and have three more smaller
elements mounted very close to the DE.
It can be fed with 75 ohm co-ax. It is a very
low cost antenna to build.
It would work extremely well, I guarantee it.
I know that all the competing companies are having
antenna problems. Without the proper antenna,
any system will not work with an extended range
satisfactory. I have been working with fringe
area antenna systems, all my life. I know their
problems. In hilly country, you need all the
power you can get. High gain antennas are a
necessity.
