Re: Canadian Backup Service

All -

Just spent some more time on the web site of that backup service. Indeed, they actually do make an appointment and send someone to your home or office, to connect a parallel Orb drive to your computer and backup whatever data you want backed up. At a service cost of 20 bucks (Canadian) per gig backed up on the initial visit, and 15 bucks per gig on subsequent visits.

They don't say what they will do if the Orb driver they install trashes your system, though.

Perhaps they have done market research and know that there are people out there stupid enough to buy this service, as opposed to just buying an Orb (or SparQ or Jaz) and doing their own backups.
