Yes this was in there "VIAGRA improved.... frequency and level of desire" but there was no statistical analysis of this claim as there was in the study on MUSE published in the NEJM.

This is also from the PFE insert....

<<When sexual stimulation causes local release of NO, inhibition of PDE5 by sildenafil causes increased levels of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum, resulting in smooth muscle relaxation and inflow of blood to the corpus cavernosum. Sildenafil at recommended doses has no effect in the absence of sexual stimulation.>>

I'll still look forward to a meta analysis of the PFE data, for example it appears that placebo was more effective in maintaining erections in men with severe ED class 0 and 1, than Viagra.

They really mixed their study group up.

But this is not to say the drug won't work, but I don't see evidence of it being more effective than MUSE when you actually compare the group in the PFE study that would correspond to the group in the MUSE study of Jan 1997.

I think we're both right and both wrong, the data are not clear on this point.

Best Wishes

Zebra

DaiS,

Can you find out for all us Yanks what MUSE sells for on average in the UK and then convert from Sterling to dollars? Thanks.
