<< SMP is only valuable if you have more than one "heavy" thread or task to run. If I have an app that has one main thread that does all the work SMP is USELESS. There are times when one fast CPU is better than 4 cpu's that are 1/3 as fast.>> Steve, thats a good point. Some applications cannot take advantage of SMP or have to rewritten. Dale BTW: I read the last 40 posts. It is nice to see the INTC bears and bulls mauling the issues instead of each other.
