After signal testing this summer, KOMO-DTV intends to be ready to begin 720 P transmissions of ABC's Wonderful World of Disney this fall. Holland hopes that Divicom will have a 720 P encoder ready in that time frame.

Looks like DIVI/JVC has a certain customer for one of the first MV40-HD units.

This is from that Divi/JVC piece......

Using the powerful DVxpert platform, the new HDTV family of products will support ATSC and DVB broadcasting standards. In addition, the family of products will support 1080I, 720P and 480P formats, as well as the ability to switch between 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 formats. Development is well under way, and demonstrations of the new HDTV encoding systems are currently slated for Fall 1998.

Divi has a very busy fall schedule. What show would they use to take the wraps off the MV40-HD?

George T., I don't suppose you've seen this unit yet?
